Category Filter
One of the most useful features that Mapster offers is the ability to filter and toggle features off and on by categories. This feature is deep with a lot of options and complexity, and here we give a few examples. Some of the options include:
- Display as switches or checkboxes
- Show colors or icons beside categories
- Show numbers of features inside each category
- Features require all categories to be selected, or only one
- Turn initial visibility on or off
- Reorder the category display
- Accordion layout
- Custom filters by ACF fields or GeoJSON properties
- Render in an external HTML <div>
Basic Category Filter
Here is a map of homeless shelters in Vancouver, with a number of categories you can toggle on and off.
Accordion, Feature numbers
This example functions the same as above, just with a couple of interface changes.
External HTML <div>
Show your category filter in another div. Don’t forget, you can style this all with CSS anyway you want!
